Bupropion is used for treating mental depression. It is also a smoking cessation aid used to

twice a day.
Patients taking the extended-release tablet form of this medicine can take doses at least 24 hours apart to decrease the chance of seizures. Your doctor may
increase your dose as needed. However, the dose should not be more than 450 mg once a day.
Patients taking the sustained-release tablet form of this medicine can
take doses at least 8 hours apart to decrease the chance of seizures.
For patients taking Bupropion for mental depression Usually Bupropion must be taken for several
weeks before you feel better. Your doctor should check your progress at regular visits. You will probably need to keep taking Bupropion for at least 6 months to help prevent
the return of the depression.
Do not start or stop taking this medication without first consulting your doctor.
Store this medication at room temperature and away
from places like bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in other places where it could experience excess heat, light and moisture. Heat or moisture may cause the medicine to
break down. It should be stored in the container in which it came. And make sure that the container is closed properly. Keep it out of reach of children.
When the
medicine is not in use or outdated, it should be discarded. Take help of your pharmacist in disposing this medicine properly.

If you notice less serious side effects
such as headache or migraine, sleep problems (insomnia), nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, confusion, dizziness, agitation, tremors (shaking), appetite changes,
weight loss or gain, mild itching or skin rash, increased sweating or loss of interest in sex. Continue taking bupropion and talk to your doctor. Consult your doctor if you
notice any of these signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using bupropion and call your

There are many drugs that can affect bupropion. Tell

If you exceed the recommended dose of this medicine, seek emergency medical attention. Symptoms of
overdose may include blurred vision, lightheadedness, hallucinations, seizures and loss of consciousness.

If you miss a dose of this medicine and you are using it
regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at
once.

Avoid using bupropion to treat more than one condition at a time. If you are already taking Bupropion for mental depression or to help you stop smoking
then inform this to your doctor before taking another prescription for Bupropion. It can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions and increase risk of a
seizure. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. While taking bupropion avoid drinking alcohol because it may increase risk of a
seizure.
